Electric Callboy Show a Darker Side with Latest Single “Revery”

0

When it comes to tonal shifts between singles, I think we may have just found the biggest one yet, courtesy of German electronicore outfit Electric Callboy. You may recall their last track was the irreverent and insanely catchy “Elevator Operator”, but the song they dropped today “Revery” is anything but happy fun times. In fact, one could say it’s their darker tracks to date.

The song is part of their seventh studio album, the details of which haven’t really been announced just yet, but we know that’s coming along. And unlike “Elevator Operator,” which continued in their more campy style both musically and visually on the accompanying music video, the video below adopts a dark fantasy setting. When coupled with the harder sounding verse segments and epic choruses, “Revery” instantly stands out.

This is the first track released by the band following the exit of their drummer David-Karl Friedrich, who’d been a member of the band for 13 years before he left last month.

Electric Callboy will be touring Europe later this year, so if you want to catch ’em live and you’ll be in the area, you can catch them at any of the dates listed below.
