Daiki Koide Kicked Out of Crossfaith and Knosis Following Allegations
It goes without saying that this whole situation is a gross mess. Not only because of what’s actually the focus here, but also because of who brought it to wider attention. Daiki Koide, member of Japanese metal bands Crossfaith and Knosis, was called out for inappropriately and knowingly messaging a minor. Who called him out? Well, one of the most polarizing people ever— Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke.
Radke publicly confronted Crossfaith and the Graspop Festival (where the band played on June 22) earlier this week regarding the allegations. He shared screenshots of a conversation he had with another member of Crossfaith about the matter, which you can find here thanks to Lambgoat. The callout caused the band to cancel their upcoming European shows, though they’ve now taken it a step further.
“To our fans and everyone following the recent events,
In light of the current situation and the speculation circulating online,
we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining four shows of our European tour.
June 26th – Vainstream Festival Opening Night 2025
June 27th – Jera On Air 2025
June 28th – Resurrection Fest EG 2025
June 29th – Evil Live
This is not a decision we take lightly, but one we feel is necessary to avoid any unexpected incidents and to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved — our fans, our crew, and the festival organizers.
We understand the disappointment this may cause,
and we deeply apologize to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time.
As for the future of Crossfaith, we are currently in discussions internally.
This is a serious matter that requires careful thought,
and we want to make sure any decisions are made with the utmost responsibility and clarity.
We will share an official update as soon as we are ready.
We appreciate your patience, support,
and understanding as we navigate this complex and emotional moment.”
Crossfaith, and Koide’s other band Knosis, have now kicked him out of the band, both of which made the announcements on social media”
Another follow-up from Crossfaith regarding the situation has now been posted to social media in which the band has revealed that they’ve dismissed Daiki from group:
“It is with great regret that we must inform you on the following matter. It was recently confirmed that our guitarist, Daiki, engaged in inappropriate communication with an underage fan. Recognizing the gravity of the misconduct, we have decided to dismiss him from the band effective immediately.”
From Knosis:
“To our fans, Daiki will no longer perform as a guitarist of Knosis.”
As of time of writing, Koide has not released any statements addressing the accusations or his removal from each band.
