Counterparts Axe Upcoming European Tour Over “Personal Matters”

0

If you’ve got plans to see Canadian metalcore band Counterparts out in Europe later this summer, I’ve got some bad news for ya — those plans no longer exist. That’s because the band announced earlier today that they won’t be fulfilling their previously announced touring commitments.

In a statement posted online, the band told their fans that they were regrettably forced to put the kibosh on their summer tour “to attend to personal matters.” Given how sensitive that sort of sentence usually is, it’s no surprise that they don’t go into more detail. But there is some light at the end of this tunnel, as the band revealed that they’ll be announcing an European tour set for the beginning of 2026.

Their statement is as follows:

“We regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to do our Europe summer tour this August. We need to take some time off to attend to personal matters. Apologies to all those who were excited to see us, and the festivals that invited us over. We’ll make it up to you in January 2026 with a EU/UK headline tour that we are announcing next week. Thank you for understanding and see you soon”

So I guess all’s well that ends well? As long as you can get a refund for your ticket at the venue and you can reschedule your time off to make the show this coming January. Otherwise, you’re shit outta luck.
