Torche Played a New Song at Their First Reunion Gig
Nearly three years after calling it quits, stoner rock outfit Torche returned to the stage last night for their first reunion show in London’s Electric Ballroom. Flanked by Cave In and Toru as their supporting acts, Torche played almost two dozen songs, according to Setlist.fm, which is a hell of a return show if you ask me.
While it may have behooved them to open things up with a fan favorite, that’s not what Torche opted to do, instead opening the gig with an apparently brand new, unreleased track reportedly titled “Breakout.” We’ve got footage of the song down below, so you can decide if it’s your jam or not. The band certainly hasn’t commented on the thing yet.
As for the rest of their show, again they played almost two dozen songs, including a cover of “Charge of the Brown Recluse,” a song from Steve Brooks’ old band Floor.
The remaining Torche reunion gigs can be found listed below, though if you don’t live in the U.K., you’re gonna have a hard time attending any of them.
