Karnivool Announce New Album ‘In Verses’, First Single “Aozora” Streaming Now

0

It’s been a minute since we last had a full-length release from Karnivool, but that wait is coming to an end pretty soon. After 13 years since the release of Asymmetry, the Australian progressive metal band will drop In Verses on February 6, 2026.

According to the band, In Verses serves primarily as a “culmination of the last decade of life experiences” that journey “through collective feelings of frustration, catharsis, and a rediscovery of identity.” Sounds pretty hippy dippy, if ya ask me.

As for the single “Aozora,” vocalist Ian Kenny explained the meaning behind it.

“The whole theme for that song is escaping, or waiting to escape. Trying to find a way to escape yourself. The idea of finding freedom in the blue. Trying to find freedom amongst the complications of just being human. We’re so weird, you know? Trying to understand that at different times along the road, sometimes you end up with more questions than answers.”

In Verses will be released on February 6, 2026 via Century Media, but you can preorder your copy today.
