Toxic Holocaust’s Joel Grind Breaks His Hand, Forcing Band to Drop Off Tour with Death Angel
Chalk the following up to an extremely unfortunate circumstance, but Toxic Holocaust has been forced to drop off their upcoming run with Death Angel after their frontman Joel Grind broke his hand. Toxic Holocaust was supposed to be one of three supporting acts for Death Angel, along with Lions At The Gate and Misfire, but it’s looking like for now the bill is significantly reduced as a result of their absence.
Talk about a shitty situation. The tour was set to kick off on November 26, but a broken hand is no joke. So many little bones in those mitts that if some break, it’s a bitch to heal. Still, he said he plans on doing something next year despite his injuries, including the eventual release of Toxic Holocaust’s followup to 2019’s Primal Future: 2019.
“Hey friends, I’m sorry to report that Toxic Holocaust has to pull out of the upcoming Death Angel tour.
“Last weekend I had an accident at home and broke my hand. Sadly that means I will not be healed in time for the tour. We hope nothing but an awesome tour for not only Death Angel, but also Lions At The Gate and Misfire. Make sure you go out and support and show them some love. I am really sorry for this guys!! Once I’m recovered we will be working on some plans for 2026 as well as updates on the new Toxic record… yes… That is still coming.”
Regardless of Toxic Holocaust’s unfortunate circumstances, the Death Angel tour will continue without them. The tour will start on November 26 in Denver and come to an end with a pair of Christmas shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco on December 18 and 19 (though those last two shows are Death Angel only). We’ll see who Toxic Holocaust gets replaced by, but for now, you can check out Death Angel’s tour at any of the dates below.
