Myke Rivera (Skarhead, District 9) in Hospice After Heart Attack

Damn, we hate to see this. Let’s send out all our good juju and energy to Myke “Puerto Rican Myke” Rivera, a key figure in the New York hardcore scene from District 9 and Skarhead. He’s reportedly on hospice, following a hospital stint earlier this month from having a heart attack.

Fellow Skarhead mate (and member of Merauder and Crown of Thornz) Matty “Pasta” Mangiarcina, dropped the news by making this quick post about it yesterday:

“Myke is in hospice care. Thank you all for your outpouring of love and support and keep him, and Lyla, in your hearts as we pray he goes easy… We love you Myke!”

Some on the internet have already taken this to mean Rivera has passed, with some posts on Reddit and Instagram slowly being deleted until the any of that is (hopefully never) confirmed to be true.
