WES BORLAND: STILL COOL IN JAKARTA
Monday, February 5th, 2007 at 3:56pm by Axl Rosenberg
As the begining of the promotional tour for his new band, Black Light Burns, Wes Borland has announced a series of guitar clinics in such Siberia-is-the-new-Paris locations as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Jakarta and Bangalore. In an official statement, Borland’s manager commented “Because Western pop culture travels to these locations at a much slower pace than the rest of the world, the good people of New Dehli have only recently received rock n’ roll music, and therefore find Wes’ seven string axe slinging to be inventive and not at all tired.”
In other news, Fred Durst announced Sunday that he is planning a solo tour that will kick off in Baghdad before travelling to Nauru, Antarctica, and the sewers beneath Khakistan.
