DARKEST HOUR PRAY TO JOE PESCI

darkest_eternalIf, like me, you’re too lazy to download the new Victory Records sampler so you can get the new Darkest Hour song, “No God,” you’ll be happy to know that it is now streaming on the band’s MySpace page.

What can I say about this track? It’s Darkest Hour. It rocks. And, as Vince noted last week, there’s a killer solo by new lead guitarist Mike “Lonestar” Carrigan, formerly of At All Cost, a.k.a. MetalSucks’ favorite band that fell apart under unfortunate circumstances.

Darkest Hour’s new album – their first with Carrigan and without Kris Norris – is called The Eternal Return, and drops June 23 on Victory.

“For years I asked god to do something about my noisy neighbor with the barking dog. Joe Pesci straightened that cock-sucker out with one visit.”

Hope you guys were making a George Carlin reference…

The only time Joe Pesci came up empty was when that dick kid from Home Alone thwarted him. Twice.

Joe made sure to evoke karma on the boy years later in the form of Michael Jackson.

Awesome song. Didn’t like the last album even though I am a huge fan of these guys. I hope the rest of the album kicks this much ass.

  4. Kye says:

This song sounds pretty much like standard Darkest Hour, which rocks, but I think vocally, it’s much more vicious and guttural than their previous work. It’s a slight, but interesting, change.

  5. THE CARL says:

This song is pretty good, me def likes!

  6. 36thoughtless says:

It’s ok…I mean, it’s definitely darkest hour. I guess it just feels like a somewhat weak attempt.

  7. dude says:

Lonestar is sick on the G-tar
