SHADOWS FALL SEEK RETRIBUTION
Monday, June 22nd, 2009 at 2:30pm by Axl RosenbergI guess having successfully attained “Redemption,” Shadows Fall are just gonna kick ass and take names with their latest album: they’ve chosen the title Retribution, according to Blabbermouth. The album will drop September 15, which is now shaping up to be a truly righteous day for new records.
Here’s some lo-fi footage of the band playing a new song, “A Public Execution.” And Matt Bachand is wearing a God Forbid tee. Nice.

Talk about “Lo-Fi” footage. Shadows Fall is a solid band but there last album was just a total rehash of their past material and I think we can only expect more of the same.
That name sounds really generic.
just remember to thank whomever is in malevolent creation this week for the title.

Man, lo-fi is an understatement. All I can hear are the drums and some guitar parts; the vocals and bass are virtually unintelligible.

I just got this album the other day when it leaked onto Demonoid. I wasn’t expecting much of this album after their last album which i didn’t care for like their other albums but this album was definitely a pleasant surprise. It blows away their last album and some songs even have an Art of Balance kind of feel to them. All in all this in my opinion is the best music they have released in years. And if you aren’t a huge fan of the tracks you’ve heard so far don’t be discouraged as they are my least favorite on the whole album.
