PORN STAR CLAIMS HOWARD JONES GOT HER PREGNANT

A couple of weeks ago I got an e-mail from an anonymous reader claiming that the reason Howard Jones is missing the current Killswitch Engage tour is because he knocked up a porn star. Given that a) I had no idea who this e-mailer was, b) he or she offered no evidence whatsoever, and c) Jones is a married man, we didn’t run the story; it just seemed so ludicrous.

Well, we still have no idea if it’s true or not, but on Saturday night (I guess technically Sunday morning, depending on the time zone in which you live), a porn star I’ve never heard of (and I’ve heard of quite a few), Allie Foster, started tweeting that she was, in fact, Jones’ baby momma. Check out this screenshot, courtesy our friends at Metal Injection:

MI notes that she also claimed that Jones tried to get her to abort the child. But it’s worth noting that the tweet has since been removed from Foster’s account. A later tweet on her account, according to The PRP, stated that “I lied. I’m fat, not pregnant. But Howard really still is a dirtbag. : ) had to get him back somehow!” But then yesterday that tweet was also deleted, and replaced with the claim that “I DID NOT POST ANY OF THAT MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED. THERE WILL BE NO FURTHER POSTS UNTIL I GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS.”

I don’t doubt that Foster is preggers – she tweeted some photos of her belly to prove it – but I really have no idea if this story has any truth to it. The PRP found some photos of the two together, so at the very least, they have definitely met – not that proves anything. I’m a big HJ fan, so it would kinda suck if he turned out to be metal’s answer to Tiger Woods…

    I still don’t understand the media’s obsession with who famous people are fucking. The whole Tiger Woods bit was absolutely pathetic…it was an issue to be dealt with inside the family, but the media decided they didn’t have anything better to do, so they tore into it. Granted, Tiger was fucking some ugly chicks when he could have been nailing girls on par with Anna Kournikova, but still. Who cares who Howard Jones fucked, even if he’s married? His private life isn’t his public life in music, and I don’t even see any reason for it to be discussed, unless he decides to speak out about it.

          Exactly. It’s easy to blame the media, but the reality is that the important stuff makes people change the channel, while Tiger’s penis makes them tune in. Not necessarily anything shady, just simple economics. Journalistic integrity doesn’t pay the bills, and I doubt anybody would be happy with government financed news. Just do what I do and get all of your news from Fark.

        Well, they need to distract us, yes….wouldn’t quite agree on the unconstitutional wars bit (and the failed stimulus spent in less than a year what it would have cost to finance both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars for an entire decade), but the media wants money. I guess it’s the same tabloid mentality in broadcast news….people like gossip, especially when it’s nasty gossip about famous people. America has a weird obsession with needing to associate with famous people, even if it’s simply talking about their bedroom partners…I guess it makes the average person feel more important to be able to discuss who the latest trendy star is fucking.

      People may care just for gossip, but for people who legitimately like Killswitch Engage and connect with their music, personal morality is pretty damn important considering KSE is a Christian metalcore band. Hell, they wrote the album “The End Of Heartache”. If the lyricist for that album turned out to be scum who cheated on his wife, that is pretty important to a lot of the fans of the band imo. People have a personal connection to music. It’s a bit different from liking a guy who knows how to swing a golf club.

        That’s their problem, then, in trying to make a personal connection to music and the singer/lyricist. I’m sure none of the people who like KSE because it’s “Christian metalcore” have ever fucked up, right? But because the guy is the frontman for a major band, evidently he doesn’t get the slack normal people do when they fuck up. Something along the lines of “it’s for the children” and “bad role model”, eh?

          You had a decent argument until you tried to be witty and included “lulz you think its for the children hahaha”. For fans who have been listening to the band since they were 14 or 15,(meaning they’re 17 or 18 now, I’m 19 but not Christian but I’ve always been a KSE fan), people won’t criticize him “for letting children down” (nice try though), it’ll be for letting his fans down. It’s probably more along the lines of “Wow, I thought you could combine metal and morality. Obviously not”. Looking at half of these comments I guess we all better start being sleazy shit heads for the sake of being brutal.

          All of this is going off of rumors, I don’t have a solidified opinion yet. If the dude got drunk and fucked up, I still disagree with it (from my personal experience, cheating is unforgivable) but it happens. If the worst is true and he cheats on his wife like it’s his job, then his lyrics are a lie, what’s the point of listening to them?

            If you don’t listen to music where the lyrics aren’t “true”, I guess you don’t listen to a whole bunch of music. Also, last I checked, Howard Jones never asked anyone to make him their role model. If they’re disappointed in his actions, the fault lies on them for assuming he’d never screw anything up, not on him for “letting his fans down”.

            Just a tip – remember that Howard Jones, and every other celebrity (barring a few) are humans. They’re going to fuck up. If you don’t cut them any slack, don’t bitch when the same thing happens to you. Having fans is no reason not to expect someone to be human, and capable of error. They don’t live to keep your expectations met and satisfied.

          I don’t know where you guys are getting the Christian metalcore tag, but the band has never stated that they were Christian and they have never come off as that way. Jesse was/is very religious, I’ll give you that, but when he was with the band it was more political than anything. The rest of the band never even said they were Christian. In one interview where Mike D. was talking about being a vegetarian I recall him giving off an atheist vibe with how he was talking.

          Other than that, as a fan of Killswitch Engage myself, I can agree with you on the personal connection argument. However, at this point, I don’t care anymore. I want him back on tour. His personal life is his to deal with. He’s never been public. Hell, none of us never even knew the man was married. I think Joel, Mike, and Adam have been pretty verbal about their marriages (Justin just got married so I can’t really comment on that), but other than that, Howard has been quiet as a mouse about it.

          If anything, some of the lyrics are starting to make sense though. So much that I’ve done wrong it’s an open book/I’ve done much more than my fair share of damage

          “Never Again” sounds more like something one of the women would say to him though. :P

            I don’t know if they are or not (don’t really care either way), but I was just responding as if they actually were. I don’t really give a good shit about the musicians, what they like, who they fuck, what food they eat, or what their political stances are. I don’t read books into their lyrics and what they could or might not mean, nor how “truthful” they are to their lyrics (seriously, who the fuck expects a band like Behemoth or Gojira to be “truthful” to their lyrics?) I just listen to their music if I like it, and leave it at that.

            If the lead singer wants to nail a different hooker every night, good for him. If the drummer is a closet Aryan Nation member, I don’t really care. If the bass guitarist thinks everyone should be microchipped at birth and monitored for their entire lives, that’s great. Unless they let their personal opinions take over their music to the point where it cannot be ignored (example: Otep), I don’t give a shit about the humans behind the music, for the most part. It may sound ugly, but the simple fact is I’m paying to listen to their music, not to give a damn about what they eat or what they think or who they voted for in the last election.

        SP: KSE have never claimed that they are a Christian band. If you like Jones’ lyrics but somehow think they lose value based on his actions (which you claim contradict his “message”), you are nuts.

        He is just some dude who writes some words on a page, then sings them to heavy music. If you like they way they sound, awesome. His lyrics don’t need to mirror his actions for them to be interesting (or even meaningful). Cannibal Corpse write lyrics about necrophilia and grizzly murder, yet believe it or not, they aren’t into these things.

Maybe you have read his lyrics, seen him in interviews, and saw him perform live – this means nothing (in regard to what he is really like).     I was fucking Howard also for nearly 4 years. However, I dont believe there are any men in bands that can keep their dick in their pants. They are all the same. I knew his reputation, I still fucked him. So, I am just as much to blame as he is. I knew what I was getting involved in, so I couldnt expect that anything would eventuate on a real relationship level, no matter how much crap he spoke.

    Im sure you have been his friend for 20+years, and I am sure that everything he tells you comes across as very genuine, however you and even his band dont know the man that hides under that nice guy facade. He does have mental health problems that he needs to address, unfortunately he is not doing that. From everything I have heard, including from other people close to him, he is in fact in Canada.     Howard is a womanizer as you say. And as all the girls he was fucking know, including myself, his sexual appetite was insatiable, and he was very talented in the bedroom which is probably what kept most of us going back. The scary thing is a lot of girls are probably still talking to him, sympathizing with him and believing he has changed, that they are the “only one” he is talking to now, and they will end up back with him, believing blindly everything that he tells them. Howard wouldnt just call us when he was in town or coming to town, I would get texts and phone calls at least weekly, but often on a daily basis. And from what I have learnt so did many of the other girls. If you know Howard, you would know he spends his life on the phone. As soon as he hung up from me, he would be speed dialing another woman, then another and another and another.
    My only advice to those of you girls who are silly enough to believe him and fall back in to his web – make him wear a condom. Many of the girls have claimed to have received STDs, fortunately I did not. And for that I consider myself extremely lucky

    IExcuse me @matt but you resorted to very personal attacks first. You missed some extremely poignant points that @PD pointed out. Thank you @PD for being so eloquent. As for Howard Jones. I believe I wasnt stating anything about myself @matt but about some women who didnt know and who are not groupies,which you obviously have no idea about being his friend or not. You are quick to stand up for a man that you truly know nothing of. Do you know his history,his past,his family issues? Are you aware of the innocent people he has greatly harmed. You took my first posting and missed the main issues. And @PD stated it correctly he called and text’d weekly. He visited and stayed with women who truly had no idea. I will not allow you to be unkind to some who truly were victims of this man. I never said I was innocent I went into it knowing who he was,but he did do great damage to one girl in particular who I have emailed and spoken to. I was moved by her story and forwarded emails and texts Howard had sent her. She is not a groupie. She truly is a very sweet girl who didnt deserve what he did. I tried to explain that above and you skirted again the main issues which had nothing to do with me personally. You may not want to accept the other side to Howard Jones,but if he really is your friend then I assume you know he has been giving interviews for years lying to his fans and everyone who found his straightedge refreshing. He is a raging alcoholic and again you skirted that issue as well. No matter we know the truth,and if it takes releasing all of his emails ,texts and voicemails,then I guess that is what it will have to come down to. And again @matt the editor here posted he knew him well and knew he was married. Maybe you dont know him as well as one might think.

    Maybe he is one of those men that leads a double life. There’s hundreds of girls that have been posting on these boards who Howard made believe he was in exclusive monogamous relationships with them.
