BOOTLEG FOOTAGE OF TIMES OF GRACE’S LIVE DEBUT

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011 at 12:05am by

So Times of Grace, which is basically a reunion of Killswitch Engage’s Alive or Just Breathing-era line-up (seriously, they’re only missing two members), made their live debut last night when they kicked off their tour in Baltimore, and, well, wouldn’t ya know it?, someone filmed it on a cell phone. So here’s the footage. The quality is obviously not perfect, but it does look like the show was fun.

I’d be curious to know if they played any old KsE songs, but haven’t been able to find that info anywhere on the net yet… if you were there or know someone who was, please report!

Just got home from the Atlanta show. Was awesome. Sound great live. And while many yelled out “Alive or Just Breathing!!” during the set, the only response they got was “That was a decade ago!” from Jesse Leach. So no, nothing from AOJB unfortuneately

    “That was a decade ago!”

well..they are still playing the same shitty metalcore. Its not like they CHANGED. Fuckers… t(-.-t)

i fucking hate it when singers don’t even try to to hit the notes they hit on record cos they basically know that they can’t.

I too was at the Atlanta show last night and, while it was great, they definitely did not play any Killswitch tunes. They did sort of ask for the “Alive or Just Breathing” taunts when they said they would keep playing but they didn’t have any more songs and then just walked off the stage.. Seriously? Anyway, just before they went on I was walking out of the bathroom and Jesse was standing right there in the hallway. He was very gracious and friendly and snapped a photo with me. I also got some footage of some songs. I’ll upload all later when I find my camera cord and post some links

bunch of cry babies, if you wanted to hear alive or just breathing stuff, maybe you should have been listening to KSE back in the day when Jesse was fronting the band. Tough shit you missed out, this isn’t KSE so why should they play KSE songs for your fair weather fans that weren’t around when that album was being toured for.

  • Bojangles

    that’s a little harsh, dude.
“why should they play KSE songs for your fair weather fans that weren’t around when that album was being toured for.” ?

For the same reason that Ozzy plays Sabbath songs live, Michale Graves plays his Misfits songs live, Paul Mccartney plays Beatles songs live, Robert Plant plays Zeppelin, and even goddamn Audioslave played RATM songs live. So on and so forth. For just that reason, because people want to hear the songs they love that they weren’t able to see in the past.
Also, come on, it’s 3 out of the 5 members of the AOJB lineup. It was almost a given that they’d play that material, especially since theres only one TOG album….I’m planning on seeing them when they come to NYC, but this is preeeetty up-setting. I’m not a fair weather fan, i’ve been listening to KSE since before End of Heartache came out, but i was a sophomore in high school, so yeah i missed my chance to be able to drive myself to a show.

  • Bojangles

    …because i didn’t yet possess a driver’s license.

  • Rudiger

the vocals sound pretty bad. i expected better, but i also expected better from the album and was disappointed

  • Lard

Holy crap, i thought it was gonna be bad but not this bad, I mean the amount of computer vocals on that record is friggin insane. Also on a side note that really is the guy from Five Pointe O on bass, it’s like a mini roadrunner reunion up there

  • cheryl666

I’m not sure what to think about this CD. At first i thought it was awesome because i used to really like Jesse’s voice and it was kind of like a KSE throw back. But now that the nostalgia has worn off listening to it again there is some super cheesy shit going on. I wish they wouldn’t have re- used the same generic breakdowns and riffs as “alive or just breathing” It would have been awesome if they had just left that style in the past and did something crazy original.

  • Zinc Saucier

I was at the Baltimore Show on Bourbon Street that night and they didnt do any old KSE songs

  • goatman

the most embarrassing thing about this band (of many) is that they named themselves after a neurosis album
