Belphegor Cancel Tour with Rotting Christ, Beheaded and Svart Crown

Well, this sucks: the entire planned North American tour featuring Belphegor, Rotting Christ, Beheaded and Svart Crown has been canceled.

The reason for the cancelation is the most noble of all, not the usual trouble-with-work-visas crap: frontman & guitarist Helmuth Lehner is staying home in Austria to be with his mother, who is in her final days. Here’s his very brief statement on the matter, which really says it all:

After fighting many months now (the last 4 months have been terrible), my mother is at the end. Her body is decaying more and more and will not survive the next weeks (maybe days) or will fall in coma soon. I will not risk being away at this time.
