Mötley Crüe: Justin Bieber Is Unwelcome On Our Stage, Sir
It helps to remember that everybody is just doing a job, be it a morning chat show host or a member of Mötley Crüe. Each of those people has identified a path from desire to fulfillment, and trade a certain measure of their time and self-respect in order to reach the end of it. Some blab 25 hours a week like the lobotomized on crack, some drag across the globe the rotting corpse of their once-awesome band. Some write about metal on the internet from a hot tub stuffed with blondes. It’s life, whatever.
So it’s with no malice that we present you with this video of two members of Mötley Crüe and a trio of morning chat show hosts being totally OMG for real on a TV appearance in Chicago. It went down when Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx were asked to imagine their reaction if they were asked to jam at one of their final tourdates with Justin Bieber. Sixx answered with a pair of middle fingers, ostensibly to Bieber but possibly toward the remote producer who had just promised Sixx there’d be no bullshit questions. It makes sense that daytime TV would goad “bad boys” into “wild, unpredictable” behavior, but what makes less sense is
that the Bieber scenario flatters Mötley Crüe that Neil is the cool one of the five that Sixx passed on an opportunity to hear his own voice the fact that Mötley Crüe would totally party with Bieber. Poor kid would wake up with Tommy Lee’s wang on his face.
