Mötley Crüe Play Final Show, Tommy Lee Gets Stuck Upside Down

So Mötley Crüe completed their farewell tour on New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and this historic show featured at least one truly historic moment: Tommy Lee got stuck while hanging upside down on the so-called “Crüecifly,” which is that roller coaster thing he’s playing drum solos on the past few years. Under normal circumstances, one might worry that Lee would suffer hyperemia, would could lead to brain damage. But since we all know Lee has no brain to damage, the only thing to worry about here is the poor crew dudes who got chewed out after the show.

You can watch video below. Tommy gets stuck around the 2:40 mark. Although the band filmed the whole show for an upcoming concert film, something tells me this part will be left on the cutting room floor.

Slightly less historic was Vince Neil’s introduction to “Same Ol’ Situation (S.O.S.),” during which he started crying. Neil’s tears were about this being the band’s last show, not the song, but it’s still pretty funny to see the singer get choked up right before he sings “I used to call her Cindy/ She changed her name to ‘Sin.’”

We’ll let you know as soon as that concert film gets a release date so that you can watch at least one of these moments in hi-def pro-shot footage.
