Exclusive Cinemetal Premiere: Goodbye June, “Oh No”

Whoever says there are no great rock vocalists anymore hasn’t heard Landon Milbourn, frontman for Nashville’s Goodbye June. This dude has some got some PIPES. He sounds like the genetic amalgamation of Robert Plant and Bon Scott. That’s obviously high praise — but listen to Goodbye June for just a few seconds and tell us we’re wrong.

Milbourn is just part of what makes Goodbye June so special. Rounded out by the vocalist’s cousins, guitarists Brandon Qualkenbush and Tyler Baker, this band makes good, old fashioned, hand clappin’, foot stompin’, Southern-tinged hard rock that’s sure to appeal to fans of bands ranging from Clutch to Airbourne to Shawn James & The Shapeshifters.

So, naturally, MetalSucks jumped at the chance to debut Goodbye June’s new video, for their track “Oh No.” Says the band about the clip:

“‘Oh No’ is one of the first songs we wrote for our latest EP, ‘Danger in the Morning.’ At the time of its conception, we wanted to portray musically and emotionally just how insane and chaotic life can be at its lowest points. We also wanted to give our listeners a little taste of the type of shout music we grew up with in the Pentecostal Church, i.e., intro/foot stomping.”

Check out “Oh No” be-low! Danger in the Morning is out now on Interscope. You can get it here. The band is currently hard at work on their debut full-length, which should be out later this year!
