Yob’s Mike Scheidt Undergoes Successful Second Surgery
Last month, Yob guitarist Mike Scheidt underwent emergency surgery for diverticulitis, a severe infection of the digestive tract. A portion of his large intestine was removed, and a second follow-up procedure was scheduled for March.
Good news: everything went as planned during the second surgery, and Scheidt is once again on the road to recovery. A statement he posted on his Facebook reads:
From Mike: “I entered the hospital last Friday morning for my 2nd surgery, and it was a success! I’m grateful to be able to enter this next stage of recovery. It’ll take some time, and I’ll be very, very careful in my healing, but I am so happy to be moving forward! Thank you to everyone for their well wishes, love, and support as I’ve gone through this. It has been everything to me. I love our community ❤! Thank you, endlessly!”
Yob fans graciously donated over $27,000 to Scheidt via a crowdfunding campaign to help assist the Yob guitarist in covering his medical bills and other life expenses related to the procedures.
Wishing Scheidt a speedy recovery; get back on the road soon!
