Howard Jones Has Recorded a New Song with Killswitch Engage

I hope this makes all Killswitch Engage fans as happy as it makes me: the band’s next album will include a duet between current and former vocalists Jesse Leach and Howard Jones (Light the Torch, Blood Has Been Shed):

Welp, it happened…the duet has been recorded…..#Repost @jesse_d_leach with @get_repost ・・・ This dude was in the neighborhood, so I figured hey let’s get him to lay down some stuff for a thing…He did, and it is going to be EPIC! . That is all carry on with your day. 🤘🏼 #killswitchengage #kserecordingsessions #TheSignalFiresAlight #killswitchengage #AdamD #HowardJones #JesseLeach #LightTheTorch #Duet #YesItHappenedYouKnewItWouldSomeday #BombTrack #Banger #Unity #PMA

This actually won’t be the first time Leach and Jones have appeared on a KSE track together; after Leach left the band during the Alive or Just Breathing album cycle, he still contributed vocals to the song “Take This Oath.” Leach and Jones also performed the AOJB track “My Last Serenade” together during the 2005 Roadrunner United concert in New York City.

Still, I hope this new song is really a true-blue, full-blown duet. Kinda like what Anthrax did with the Joey Belladonna/John Bush cover of “Ball of Confusion.” Only not as anticlimactic.

Hopefully we’ll get to hear this bad before 2018 is done.
