POLL: WHEN DID METALLICA SELL OUT?

Nothing gets a bunch of drunk metalheads riled up as much as a discussion about which METALLICA album was their sellout album. Such was the case last night as I closed out a bar with two drunk Colombians, a Trinidadian calypso musician, and a drunk redneck from Indiana (this shit is international, yo!). Opinions on this topic are like assholes; everyone’s got one. After we were kicked out of the bar, the conversation spilled out onto the street and continued for another half hour. Needless to say, no conclusion was reached. So I leave it to you, our loyal readers: when did Metallica sell out?
