R.I.P., STRAPPING YOUNG LAD 1995 – 2007

We’ve seen this coming for awhile now, but Strapping Young Lad is officially broken up. Furthermore, SYL mastermind Devin Townsend won’t be doing any more touring (although apparently he will continue to release music).

This is incredibly sad news; Vince and I saw SYL live twice just last summer and they were truly a sight to behold. Townsend is one of the funniest, most entertaining metal performers out there today, and we can only hope this story either turns out to be bogus, or that Devin returns to his senses and comes back to us soon.
