VELVET REVOLVER TO RELEASE EP… A WHOPPING MONTH BEFORE LP

resizeimage.jpegVelvet Revolver’s website reports that the band will release a new EP, Melody and the Tyranny, on June 1 – just a month before the release of their new album, Libertad. I guess this is supposed to help promote the new album and make the band some extra cash, and will probably be successful in both endeavors. The EP will feature two songs from Libertad (“She Builds Quick Machines” and “Just Sixteen”), one cover (The Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer,” which should be, uh, interesting), one live recording (Contraband‘s “Do it for the Kids”), and a ten minute “documentary” on the making of Libertad.

Who’s dumb enough to pay money for this? We are, of course! Stay tuned for a review.
