MORBID ANGEL REHEARSAL FOOTAGE FROM 1990!

Through the Eyes of the Dead recorded a pretty sweet cover of “Dominate” for their excellent new release, Malice – I’m not sure if it’s a b-side or one of the European-only tracks, but it’s floating around out there if you’re looking for it. You’d think that a cover of a Morbid Angel song produced by a former member of Morbid Angel (Erik Rutan, for those not paying attention) would be cheesy, but they did a nice job.

ANYWAY, that’s all a long way of saying that TTEOTD gave me a jones for some Morbid Angel, and while poking around on YouTube to find something fun for us all to watch today, I stumbled upon what appears to be a home video of the band rehearsing in September of ’90. It’s pretty cool, but here’s the really interesting part: around the one minute mark, Trey Azagoth seems to be playing “God of Emptiness”… three years before it was recorded.
