TIME FOR A SHADOWS FALL GREATEST HITS COLLECTION ALREADY?

61awoduiidl_ss500_.jpgIn what I’m sure must be part of some ongoing contractual obligation to Century Media, Shadows Fall – who now, of course, reside on Atlantic Records (for now – if their sales don’t pick up, I’d bet that won’t last long) – are putting out a greatest hits album, Seeking the Way: Greatest Hits. That incredibly cheesy “art” to your left is, in fact, the album’s cover.

There’s no track list yet, but unless there are more b-sides or rarities that weren’t included on last year’s excellent Fallout from the War, I can’t imagine who’s gonna spend money on this. The band only has a few proper albums anyway; is there really some fifteen year old out there who’s just getting into the band and is both a) too broke to buy their fairly small discography and b) too stupid to know how to download said discography illegally?

In any case, Seeking the Way will be released through Century on October 23. Let’s all wait and see if it outsells Threads of Life.
