WELL PAINT ME GREEN AND CALL ME “GUMBY” – THE NEW EXODUS ALBUM IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD!I finally got my hands on a copy of Exodus’ latest, The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A yesterday… just in time to find out that the band is streaming the entire album on their MySpace page. D’oh!

ANYWAY, that’s good news for all you, because this album is really, really good. I thought that the group’s last two “comeback albums” – Tempo of the Damned and Shovel Headed Kill Machine (Jesus H. Christ, are these dudes just totally incapable of coming up with a decent album title at this point?) – were really false starts, in the vein of the crappy comeback album Megadeth made, The System Has Failed, before this year’s actual comeback album, United Abominations.

But Atrocity is full of honest-to-goodness awesome riffs, searing dueling guitar solos, and – something unusual for 21st century Exodus – memorable choruses. I strongly suggest you give that album stream a listen – I’m especially fond of the epic fourth track, “Children of a Worthless God.” Now go check it out.
