AS IT TURNS OUT, “DECAY” IS THE SCENT OF DEW

What can I tell you about Dew-Scented’s new song, “Arise from Decay,” that you won’t already know? It is as undeniably metal and completely lacking in subtlety as the cover art for the band’s new album, Invocation.

It also rocks like a motherfucker.

I mean, all the hallmarks of FUCKING METAL are there – a break-neck riff, screaming about Satan knows what unpleasantness, a shredding solo, a shout-along section, etc. I suspect some will find it a little too textbook, but I just find it so much goddamn fun I don’t really care if it revolutionizes the metal world or not. This is one of those bands where I’m just always happy to hear them do their thing.
