I’ll keep this brief, ’cause we’ve written about all of these releases at length before. But in case you’re interested (and you probably should be):

  • History Repeats, Dying Fetus’ new, very limited edition (only 5,000 copies made!) covers EP, is now streaming here. In addition to DF’s version of classic songs by bands like Cannibal Corpse, Bolt Thrower, and Napalm Death, it features a new Dying Fetus song, “Rohypnol,” which, let’s be honest, is really the best reason to check this bad boy out. The album is out now on Relapse. And in case you’ve somehow forgotten, Dying Fetus are part of this year’s MetalSucks-sponsored Summer Slaughter tour, along with The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, Darkest Hour, Six Feet Under, Oceano, Fleshgod Apocalypse, As Blood Runs Black, Powerglove, and Within the Ruins. Get dates here.
  • Iwrestledabearonce are streaming their new crowd pleaser, Ruining it for Everybody, here. I don’t really know what else to say about it, other than I think it’s great, but if you hate IWABO, I don’t imagine it’s going to convert you. For everyone else, well, HOO-RAY! NEW IWABO! The album comes out tomorrow on Century.
  • Battlecross’ full-length debut, Pursuit of Honor, is streaming here. When we debuted the track “Breaking You” earlier this month, we praised the band for their “tightness, conciseness and stellar riffery,” and compared them to a young God Forbid. In other words, you wanna at least give this bad boy a listen! The album drops August 2 on Metal Blade.
  • Flourishing’snew release, The Sum of All Fossils, is streaming here. If you don’t know Flourishing, you should — they are a really, really great death grind band. The EP they released last year, A Momentary Sense of the Immediate World, absolutely slayed, and this new offering is basically everything you’d want from the band’s full-length debut. The Sum of All Fossils is out August 2 on The Path Less Traveled Records.
