SWALLOW THE SUN’S NEW SONG ISN’T CLUNKY, EVEN IF THE TITLE IS
Swallow the Sun’s new album is called Emerald Forest and the Blackbird, which is not exactly a title that rolls off the tongue. And it’s made all the clunkier by the mysterious lack of a “the” in front of the words “Emerald Forest;” it’s as though that were someone’s name or something.
But, hey, whatever — as long as the music is good, the album could be called Licking Frozen Poop on a Stick and we’d all still love it, amiriteoramirite? So the good news is that the title track, which is now stream over at The Obelisk, is damn fine, full of the moody, melancholy, epic epicness that we all love in this group’s tunes.
