Kvelertak rocked harder than anyone has ever rocked at our 2011 South by South Death showcase, and then they did so again at our CMJ showcase later that year. ROCKED SO FUCKING HARD! So hard, in fact, that when they announced a last minute late-night afterparty after the CMJ show we went to that too. And still didn’t feel like we’d gotten enough.
The time for Kvelertak’s return to North America has finally come: a few dates of a November tour with Torche and Converge have slipped out:

11/11 New York, NY – Highline Ballroom
Great as they are, Kvelertak would probably only be second support on this killer lineup. I love Torche and haven’t seen them in years — they tour pretty often, but I just keep being out of town when they’re here — and I’d relish the opportunity to see them playing songs from their excellent new album Harmonicraft. Converge aren’t really my bag but I know I’m in the small minority amongst MS staffers on that one.
