Watch the First Clip from Maryland Deathfest: The Movie III

Less than two years ago, it seemed that we would never get to see director David Hall’s third (and final) chapter of Maryland Deathfest: The Movie on account because a dickhead ex-business partner was holding the footage hostage. And while, to the best of my knowledge, that footage still hasn’t been recovered (seriously, someone find that ex-business partner and nut punch him into oblivion), Hall apparently managed to return to MDF last year to shoot new footage to close out his trilogy. Yay! Sometimes the good guys win after all.

NPR has now debuted the first clip from Maryland Deathfest: The Movie III — performance footage of Dragged Into Sunlight. Check it out below!

Maryland Deathfest: The Movie III will be released as a limited edition DVD and Blu-ray on May 24 via Hall’s own Handshake, Inc.; purchases will come with an instant download of the live soundtrack. In addition to Dragged Into Sunlight, the film features Godflesh, Napalm Death, Today is the Day, Saint Vitus, YOB, Absu, Electric Wizard, Rwake, Brujeria, The Devil’s Blood,  and Ghoul.
