Seventh Circle: U Jam?

Seventh Circle

It was three weeks ago that our Axl Rosenberg (pictured here) raved about “Drown In Black,” a “killer” jam by a Nails-ian quintet called Skinfather (not to confused with Warfather or SkullFather). It makes sense, Axl observed, that Skinfather’s album arrives via the label run by Nails frontman Todd Jones (tomorrow, full stream here) and that “Drown” is a rough, brutal burst that can grab you for like four repeat listens at any time.

So it’s understandable that you were wrapped up with that and maybe overlooked a ripping EP by Seventh Circle (not to be confused with Seventh Void or 7 Horns 7 Eyes), themselves makers of awesome Nails-ian blackened hardcore. Sharing a title with its authors, the mini-set fits on a 7″ and spans a bathroom break — or maybe a few bathroom breaks: Again like Skinfather, Seventh Circle commands at least a few replays so maybe get the chili for lunch! U jam?

Seventh Circle’s self-titled EP is out now. Get it here and here.
