FNM reissuesThe world is currently in the throes of Faith No More Mania, thanks to the impending release of their upcoming reunion album, Sol Invictus. To capitalize on this current spike in interest, Rhino Records have announced that on June 9, they’ll reissue the band’s two most famous (and arguably best) albums, 1989’s The Real Thing and 1992’s Angel Dust, in deluxe, 2-CD editions.

Yes, they’re tossing in a ton of bonus material to get us all to re-buy albums we already own. But will it work? All of the bonus material has been previously released, so there isn’t much on these discs that hardcore FNM acolytes won’t already have heard (and one of the band’s best b-sides — “The Perfect Crime,” an Angel Dust sessions tune that ended up on the Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey soundtrack –isn’t included at all for some reason). So this may actually appeal more to n00bs than seasoned fans.

Here’s the list of bonus materials included with the reissues, so you can decide if you wanna shell out for these or not:

More exciting, if you ask me, is that these will also be made available on double LP, 180 gram heavyweight vinyls, which are scheduled to be pressed in August. Even if those didn’t have the bonus materials, they’d probably be worth owning.

There’s no pre-order links yet, but, presumably, those’ll materialize soon.
