There is a Band Called Pissgrave — and They’re Great

pissgrave logo bannerLike Pig Destroyer, Shitkill, Fuckhammer, and Lake Bukkake, Philadelphia’s Pissgrave is band whose name will very likely be what fist captures your attention… but whose music will retain it. The band’s 2014 demo cassette is basically impossible to find now (not kidding — I just looked on eBay and, Dio forgive me, various torrent sites, and bupkis), but Profound Lore will be releasing their official debut, Suicide Euphoria, in August, and they’ve released a sample in the form of the song “Impaled Vibration.”

And HOL-EE shit, I’ll be damned if this isn’t the soundtrack for the end of the world. It’s like epic death-doom being transmitted from inside Satan’s anus. It’s not just heavy — it’s intimidating. I dunno if any of you have read Garth Ennis’ Crossed, but it’s about this virus which basically makes people act on all of their absolute impulses, which leads, of course, to some very, very, VERY fucked up situations, the kind of shit which makes suicide the nicest possible option. I imagine this is what “The Crossed” might listen to when they’re throwing people out of planes, raping families, and tearing babies apart.

No wonder the record is called Suicide Euphoria.

Turn your speakers up to a truly inappropriate level and jam “Impaled Vibration” below. Suicide Euphoria is out August 4. If someone doesn’t get them on the road with Shitkill for The Piss & Shit Tour, than all human development since the dawn of man shall have been for naught.
