Listen: Throane Torches You In “Un Instant”
What must it feel like for a member of, say, fancy Ulver to encounter an awesome new wave BM jam and discover that its creator is the guy who did Ulver cover art? Or imagine the reaction of the dude from Blut Aus Nord when his design meeting starts late so the artist can finish an interview about his big debut album. Or, the sight of a Neurosis tour poster in a window obscured by its artist’s own project’s banner. In that situation, a nice guy will raise his eyebrows and, with a nod, wish that artist the best. And then set about crushing his album.
That means Throane’s debut album is awesome by itself and as a force of competition. It rips and in a profound way spurs others to rip even more than usual. The latter is in the future, buckle up. The former is now, crank it!!!
