Fear Factory Vocalist Burton Seabell Has a Photography Exhibit on Display

0

It turns out that Fear Factory’s singer Burton Seabell has more than one Archetype: he’s also a photographer.

His first series of photographs recently opened at the Front Window Gallery in Milton, PA. He expressed his excitement in a recent Facebook post stating, “I’m very happy to announce my first gallery opening for my photo series DESCANSOS…” and went on to say, “This was a photo project I worked on in 2001. This photo is one of the hundreds that I captured between Los Angeles and Santa Fe along the legendary Route 66.”

The photo pictured is actually pretty cool. It’s got a bit of an old-timey feel to it, desolate in its tone. As the railroad tracks stretch to the horizon the picture seems very… infinite, expanding way beyond what the eye can see. Its overall emotive quality hearkens an industrialist tone, much like a lot of Fear Factory’s work. I guess Burton is trying his best to avoid being Obsolete, Demanufacturing himself by putting his soul into a new machine… Maybe this way his art will remain Digimortal, outpacing his band’s musical Transgressions.

Okay, I’m done. Look at the Facebook post below and click here for more info on the gallery.
