Opeth Release New Song About Olivia Wilde

Opeth have released another new song from their forthcoming album, Sorceress. It’s called “The Wilde Flowers,” and it’s easily the best song from the album we’ve heard so far. Partially because of its groovy use of Iron Butterfly-esque organs. Partially because of the spectacularly shreddy guitar solo that begins around the 2:20 mark. Mostly because it’s clearly intended as an ode to Olivia Wilde. And if there’s one thing metal needs, its more odes to Olivia Wilde. She simply does not get her due.

Check out “The Wilde Flowers” for yourself below. Sorceress is out September 30 via the band’s imprint label Moderbolaget Records with Nuclear Blast Entertainment.  Pre-order it here. Read our review here. Get upcoming Opeth tour dates here. Learn more about Olivia Wilde here.
