Suicide Silence Latest Metal Band to Incorporate Clean Vocals Into Their Music

  • Axl Rosenberg

Why do so many metal bands eventually introduce clean vocals? I don’t know, but it would appear that Suicide Silence are the latest group to follow the pattern. As reported last week, the band premiered a new song, “Doris,” during their recent performance at Ozzfest Meets Knotfest; as not reported last week, the song includes some actual singing from vocalist Eddie Hermida. Hermida had previously experimented with clean singing on the track “Memories of a Glass Sanctuary,” from All Shall Perish’s 2008 release, Awaken the Dreamers.

So, what do you think? Head to the comments section to discuss.

“Doris” will presumably appear on Suicide Silence’s new, self-titled album, which is tentatively scheduled for release in February.
