Video: String Orchestra Plays Tool’s “Stinkfist”

0

String orchestra covers of metal songs are all the rage!! Metamorphestra, the same folks who did that awesome orchestral cover of Tool’s “Schism”earlier this month, released a cover of System of a Down’s “Chop Suey” just yesterday. My younger brother is in an orchestral metal cover band. Shit, there’s a string orchestra on the corner outside the MetalSucks Mansion right now ripping through “Roots Bloody Roots!”

I made those last two things up. But today we do get another string orchestra cover of Tool via the Belgian group Vigilante, this time of “Stinkfist.” Vigilante stray from the traditional orchestra arrangement by incorporating a rock drummer and bringing in a vocalist, which is neither better nor worse than Metemorphestra’s approach; it just comes down to what you prefer. I think they did a pretty damn good job. Check it out below!
