DevilDriver’s Dez Fafara and His Mom Appeared in a Honda Commercial

0

I’m a big fan of Hondas. I’m now on my third one, having recently upgraded from my siqq 1988 Accord to a 2010 Civic (I had a ’96 Accord at one point, too). Those Japanese cars just run forever, ya know?

DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara and his mom are gonna be drinking the Honda Kool-Aid soon, too, if they aren’t already: the mother and son duo got paid for a surprise appearance in a Honda commercial.

Honda’s running an ad campaign called “Random Acts of Helpfulness” in which a Honda employee gives away free stuff to unsuspecting shoppers, captured by hidden camera. The Fafaras got the treatment at a recent trip to the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and they’re featured briefly at the end of a new Honda commercial, which Dez captured and posted on Instagram. Mom got to keep the pots and pans she was looking at, too!

DevilDriver will be touring this spring with Death Angel, Winds of Plague, The Agonist and Azrael; dates here.
