Watch Metallica Sing Rihanna’s “Diamonds” in New Carpool Karaoke Trailer

0

A TV commercial aired during the Grammy Awards on Sunday night for Carpool Karaoke (watch here), a new show being produced by Apple Music that’s a spinoff of the popular bit from The Late Late Show with James Corden. Metallica were prominently featured in the spot singing along to “Master of Puppets” inside a car with comedian Billy Eichner, who is one of the rotating cast of drivers on the series.

Now we get a closer look at Carpool Karaoke in an extended trailer, and among other series highlights — Will Smith singing the Fresh Prince theme song in a car, Will Smith singing R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” in a helicopter — we see Metallica hilariously attempting to keep up with Rihanna’s hit “Diamonds.” We also get some more footage of their karaoke version of “Enter Sandman” performed at a supermarket deli meat counter, which we first got a glimpse at back in December.

Check out the clip below. I’m legitimately excited to watch this show, independent of the Metallica connection — it looks funny!
