Septicflesh have released an epic new track, “3rd Testament (Codex Omega),” in which they envision an inverted Bible where “Satan was The Father and Antichrist The Son.” So, technically speaking, the song is, in fact, church music.

Which helps explain why it filled with me with The Holy Spirit. I was lifted from my chair, as though by some invisible giant’s hand, and began gyrating and speaking in tongues and doing other things which might lead others to believe I was having a stroke. Now, it’s possible, I suppose, that this was the result of putting PCP in my morning coffee… but I really think it was the song.

Dive into Septicflesh’s “3rd Testament” below. The song comes from the band’s new album, Codex Omega, which comes out on September 1 via Prosthetic Records. Pre-order it here.
