Slipknot Premiere “Vermilion” Live Video From Day of the Gusano, Announce Home Video Release

Slipknot’s new documentary about Knotfest MexioDay of the Gusano, hits select theaters TONIGHT for a special, one-night-only theatrical engagement. You can find the closest theater showing the movie here, but don’t fret too hard if you can’t make a screening near you: the band has announced that Gusano will be released as both a home video (in a variety of formats, natch) and live album on October 20. Disaster(piece) avoided!

Meanwhile, if you’re still not quite sold on Gusano, or just absolutely cannot wait to see it, the band has released the performance of “Vermillion” which appears in the film. I gotta say, I’m not thrilled with the editing, which seems unnecessarily speedy to me, but the footage looks and sounds top-notch.

Check out the clip below. You may also be interested in our recent podcast interview with Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan, who just so happens to have directed Day of the Gusano! Check that out here.
