Aversions Crown Debut New Single “The Breeding Process”

0

With The Black Dahlia Murder and Whitechapel’s co-headline tour set to kick off today, one of the tour’s opening acts, Aversions Crown, has released a brand new track to set things off on the right foot. Fleshgod Apocalypse and Shadow of Intent… where are your new tracks today, ehhh???

The new song, “The Breeding Process,” is a stop-gap single of sorts that came about in the midst of preparation for the band’s next album:

“We spent some time recently in the studio to develop the blueprint for our 4th Album. We wanted to figure out exactly what sound we were going for and what direction the album would take. The result of this was ‘The Breeding Process’.

“The song paints the disturbing image of a human production farm – aliens abducting humans and using them for inter-species breeding projects.”

The song has elements of Aversions Crown’s sound that fans of the band will already be familiar with — tight, technical, razor sharp death metal — but it strikes me as less core-y and a bit more atmospheric and experimental this time around (ala Fallujah or Rivers of Nihil). I dig it perhaps more than I’ve dug anything this band’s done to date… so bravo! Take a listen below, see what you think, and peep the tour dates underneath the embed.
