Swedish Rock n’ Metallers Skallbank Release Catchy New Single “Løgnar”

0

The Swedish have churned out some of today’s greatest metal acts (Opeth, Soilwork, At The Gates to name a few) and at this point I’m convinced the country can’t do any wrong. One of the latest bands rising out of the metal holy land is Skallbank, who offer a groovy blend of rock n’ roll and metal.

Interestingly enough, most of the band’s discography is comprised of singles, so we’ll attribute that to quality over quantity. Their newest song, “Løgnar,” was released to the world yesterday and sticks true to the sound they’ve come to develop over the years. The riffs err on the side of catchy, classic rock n’ roll, while the screaming vocals, which sound akin to Dark Tranquillity or old In Flames, highlight the metal attributes in their sound, much like their Scandinavian brethren in Kvelertak. I challenge you to listen to this single without tapping your toes or moving your head. It just can’t be done.

Since their mention in an MS article highlighting unsigned bands back in 2014, the group has signed on to Savage Magic Records, so listen to their newest single below and stay tuned for what these dudes have to offer next.
