Bart’s Batushka Announces Ambitious Fall 2019 North American Tour

0

Now that both versions of Batushka have released their new albums — founding member and guitarist Krzysztof Drabikowski with Panihida back in May, and vocalist Bartłomiej “Bart” Krysiuk with Hospodi earlier this month — the band’s diehards have decided definitively which band is the “true” Batushka. While I haven’t seen many folks say Bart’s record is bad, it seems unanimously agreed upon that Krzysztof’s version is both better and truer to the sound of the band’s explosive debut album Litourgiya.

But while Krzysztof’s Batushka has the diehard appeal, Bart’s version is the one signed to Metal Blade Records and 5B Management, and they’re getting an absolutely huge promotional push. It’s likely there are a whole ton of casual Batushka fans who dug Litourgiya and are completely unaware of the ongoing lawsuit and the existence of two Batushkas.

With that in mind, Bart’s Batushka has announced an ambitious North American tour that’s playing some pretty sizable venues (500-1000 capacity), a bold flex, and one that is wholly reliant on fans not knowing about the existence of Krzysztof’s Batushka. In other words: anyone who is aware of the lawsuit and has heard Krzysztof’s record will not go to these shows.

Will Bart’s Batushka fill up these rooms despite only selling 500 copies of their record in its first week of release? I have no idea, but I’m very, very curious. Take a look at the routing below.
