The Night Flight Orchestra Formally Announce New Album; Listen to the First Single

After teasing a new release for 2020 back in November, The Night Flight Orchestra have made it officially official: they’ll release a new album, Aeromantic, on February 28. You can check out the painfully catchy first single, “Divinyls,” via the below René U Valdes-directed video. The song doesn’t seem to have any direct references to the Australian band of the same name… but it certainly wouldn’t have seemed out of place on one of that band’s albums.

The video, like TNFO itself, straddles the line between sincere and ironic. “Divinyls” could be the score for an ’80s movie training montage, which is the form the clip takes… except it’s neither speedily-edited or flamboyant enough to fit the bill. BUT!, it also features frontman “Speed” Strid (also of Soilwork fame, duh) as some kind of creepy coach/manager, which is sort of funny. Like I said: it’s a tightrope act.

Click “play” below and rock out like a true dad with “Divinyls.” The Night Flight Orchestra have a whole lotta European live dates lined up for this year. Their itinerary is as follows:
