The Five Best Metal Songs for the Super Bowl

0

Super Bowl LIV is this Sunday, February 2! Whether you’re looking forward to the game, the commercials, the excuse to eat a truly irresponsible amount of wings, or all of the above, one thing is for certain: the Big Game deserves some Big Music!

To that end, here are five metal songs that we think are perfect for the occasion. Feel free to suggest your own additions in the comments section!

Accept, “Balls to the Wall”

Football has a lot of balls. It doesn’t have very many walls. But still! The anthemic nature of this song makes it perfect for a stadium full of people. J.Lo and Shakira should totally cover this during the halftime show.

Helmet, “Iron Head”

It works on multiple levels! J.Lo and Shakira should totally cover this during the halftime show.

Eyehategod, “The Concussion Machine Program”

The NFL should change its name to the CMP. Also, J.Lo and Shakira should totally cover this during the halftime show.

Anthrax, “Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.)”

Well, duh. Sure, this song is about John Belushi, who was not a football player. But, like so many football players, Belushi’s talents “started back in high school” and made him seem “so cool, king of the scene,” which lead to a [sarcasm]”nice fuckin’ life”[/sarcasm]. So it basically still works! J.Lo and Shakira should totally cover this during the halftime show.

Cannabis Corpse, “Chapel of Bowls”

Maybe this song is about the “wrong” kind of bowl. But it’s also about a kind of bowl we here at MetalSucks greatly prefer. J.Lo and Shakira should totally cover this during the halftime show.
