Video: Megadeth Perform “Dread and the Fugitive Mind” for the First Time in 19 Years
Megadeth hadn’t played “Dread and the Fugitive Mind” live since 2001 — the same year it was released (as part of the album The World Needs a Hero) — before this past Friday, February 14, when they decided to break it out for fans who attended their show in Prague. What makes “the golden city of one hundred spires” so special? Who, besides God, truly understands the inner workings of Dave Mustaine?
Regardless of the reasons why the song was suddenly reintegrated into the setlist, you can check out video of the blessed event at the bottom of this post. Megadeth have a handful of European live dates with Five Finger Death Punch and Bad Wolves left this week; then they’ll headline a massive tour with Lamb of God starting in June. Support comes from Trivium and In Flames.
