Pelican, Unable to Tour, Release Live Album

Live every other band in every other genre in the entire whole wide world right now, Pelican can’t play live. That means they’ve had to call off their European tour with Inter Arma, which was s’posed to commence in June.

This being the case, the iconic instrumental ensemble is offering fans the next best thing to being able to catch them in concert: a new live album. It’s called Live at The Grog Shop, presumably because it was recorded live at The Grog Shop in Cleveland last year.

Pelican live is always a good thing, but I think it’s extra-super-duper worth pointing out that since this recorded was captured so recently, it includes material from the band’s most recent album, Nighttime Stories, which came out last year. For a lot of us, this is the first opportunity to hear those tracks played live, making Grog Shop all the more worth our time.

You can stream Live at the Grop Shop below, and/ or purchase it here.
