Mastodon Guitarist’s West End Motel Releases New Song, “New Wave Kid”

West End Motel, the long-running band involving Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, have released a new song called “New Wave Kid” along with a visual accompaniment featuring artwork by Jeremy Cadero.

We wish we could tell you more about it, and if its release means more is on the way soon, but that’s all we know for now: the band’s web profiles don’t have anything more to add (their Facebook page’s “About” section still has a link to their MySpace page, giving the impression these guys aren’t huge on keeping these things up date). But the song is good — it’s a fun new wave-inspired bop, as its title intimates — and you can jam it below.

Expect more soon… maybe, or maybe not.
