Video: Kids Aged 8-17 Cover Slipnot’s “Psychosocial” (Complete with a Keg!)
The kids of the O’Keefe Music Foundation, a non-profit in Ohio, have made their way onto these pages a number of times over the years with their full-production, pro-shot cover videos of metal classics including Tool, System of a Down, Metallica and countless other heavy acts.
Slipknot’s “Psychosocial” is the most recent track to get the treatment, and as usual, O’Keefe’s group has done a marvelous job in every aspect: the education, the performance, and the video. This particular clip was filmed over a year ago (hence the lack of distancing) but just made its way online in the past week, and features kids between the ages of 8 and seventeen creating quite a ruckus, including, naturally, beating on a keg. Here are the performance:
Baseball Bat & Beer Keg Girl #1 / Taylor Campbell / Age 8
Baseball Bat & Beer Keg Girl #2 / Madelyn Ahlers / Age 9
Drums / Nate Tharp / Age 14
Lead Guitar / Hunter Hallberg / Age 14
Bass / Jackson Toma / Age 15
Rhythm Guitar / Aiden Combs / Age 17
Vocals / Kaden Karns / Age 17
The kids of the O’Keefe Foundation have previously covered Slipknot’s “Duality” and “The Devil in I, although the makeup of the bands were of course different at the time due the rotating nature of the classes.
